Happy Birthday you beautiful, funny, quirky soul. Love your writing and warmth and flair. And am pretty sure your 18 year old self would be happy with who/where you are right now
What beautiful words and what an amazing gift to find yourself so proud, happy, and content on your day. Wishing you the happiest of birthdays with many more to come 💕
What an incredibly beautiful post!! I recently turned 44 and I couldn't agree more. In fact, I really feel that the older you get the happier you get, and it's because you get better and better at being true to yourself. Wishing you a wonderful next year!
So lovely to hear you so content. So many women (myself included) were spinning out about the “not being where I need to be” (ie in a relationship with children) at 36. And it was a total waste of time. What will be will be. Just enjoy the ride 🎢
Happy Birthday! Beautifully written and how lovely to bask in the contentment of the here and now, so much better than what you probably imagined at 18! By the way my (French) stepdaughter and I came to your show a couple of weeks ago and LOVED it. Thanks for a hilarious evening entre filles!
Really enjoyed this! I turned 40 in March with similar feelings - acceptance and kindness towards my younger self and that there is still loads of fun to be had in muddling through and working things out at your own pace! Thank you!
Love this Tatty! I'm the wrong side of my forties and hot flashes are coming at me. Growing old is a privilege (again cheesy I know) though and I raise a piscine glass of wine to pink skies! Thanks for being inspiring ❤️
Happy Birthday! Being 36 again, bliss. I am closer to 3 x 18 now, time flies. Enjoy! Preferably with a lot of good ice cream (just tried Pierre Marcolini's one on Marylebone High st the other day at the insistence of my long haired mini dachshund, have to say it is excellent). Or an ice-cream cake from Udderlicious, helps to cope with the inevitable passing of time. Watered down with some Devaux (niche-ish champagne, much better than mainstream brands). TL;DR: Joyeux anniversaire! Fête ça avec un gateau glacé et une coupe!

Gosh this really brought a happy tear to my eye. It’s wonderful to see people being quietly happy. Bon anniversaire 🧡
